Since graduating from law school, Justin has focused his practice in bankruptcy court and bankruptcy appellate work. He regularly represents debtors, creditors, and trustees in complex chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases, and represents struggling small businesses in chapter 11. He has obtained significant victories for debtors and trustees at the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Justin has served as chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization Committee, has been an Illinois Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in consumer bankruptcy every year from 2013 to 2022, and a “Super Lawyer” for 2023 and 2024. Justin is the proud recipient of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services 2019 “Distinguished Service” award for his pro bono service helping veterans and low-income individuals navigate the bankruptcy system.
